What is this event about?TED is all about BIG ideas
“There is nothing more powerful than an idea whose time has come” Victor Hugo TED is all about ideas worth spreading – and what ideas could be more worth spreading than the solutions we have for global warming? The global TED event will be sharing a whole day’s worth of exciting ideas on 10th October 2020 – with FREE online streaming. Then we’ll have our turn on 15th October, adding great ideas for local solutions from some of Australia’s leading climate innovators – with FREE online streaming. What was it like for Juan to get a TEDX license and organize the event in less than 3 months?It was just a few short weeks ago that we heard the good news. Our application to TED for the Sydney event We Can Change Climate Change had been accepted!
TED Media is mobilising for climate solutions - with 12 months of events leading up to the next COP meeting on Climate in Scotland in November 2021. They’re kicking off globally on October 10th with a full-day event that anyone around the world can watch online - for FREE countdown.ted.com. And around the world, local groups like ours are joining the party. So there we were, with the licence to deliver TEDxDarlinghurst! We were super excited – and just a little bit overwhelmed. |
